Not every project requires afull installation team on-site. For retailers who have capable in-housemaintenance staff, or for projects where budget and logistics favour a hands-onapproach, Lane Industries offers a ready-to-assemble (RTA) option. Our RTAfixtures are precision-manufactured in our facility, flat-packed for efficientshipping, and designed for straightforward assembly without specialist tools ortrade qualifications.

Our RTA products are manufactured to the same standards as our fully installed fixtures — the difference is in how they're delivered and assembled. Components are precision-cut using CNC machinery, pre-drilled for hardware, and packaged with all necessary fittings and clear assembly instructions.
This approach significantly reduces freight costs (flat-packed items take up far less space than assembled units) and eliminates the need for Lane installation teams to travel to site. It's particularly cost-effective for remote and regional locations where mobilising an installation crew adds substantial cost to a project.
Our ready-to-assemble range includes display cabinets, service counters, shelving components, and specialty fixtures. These are the same designs we produce for our fully installed projects — just packaged and delivered differently.
We can also produce custom-designed pieces in RTA format. If you need a specific fixture built to your dimensions and specifications but want to handle assembly yourself, our design and fabrication team can accommodate that.
The RTA approach doesn't mean a reduction in quality. Every component is manufactured in our workshop using the same materials, machinery, and quality control processes as our standard production. The key difference is the assembly method — our RTA products use precision-engineered joining systems that create strong, stable connections without requiring specialised equipment.
We also provide phone and email support during assembly if your team has questions or needs guidance.
Ready-to-assemble is a good fit when you have staff who are comfortable with hands-on assembly, when you're in a remote or regional location where installation travel costs are significant, when you're doing a staged upgrade and want to install components progressively, or when budget is a primary consideration and you want to save on installation labour. For retailers who prefer a fully managed approach, our standard installation service is always available.
